Content Syndication - What, why and how?
The truth
Content Syndication, I first heard this word in a partner conference in Atlanta hosted by Syndigo.
There I heard form many industry leading System Integrators about PIM and the versatility of PIM to carry out content syndication.
What is Content Syndication?
Content syndication is just a fancy way of saying: republishing content on one (or more) third-party websites with a backlink to your original post.
When you syndicate your original content, it is distributed across various platforms to reach a wider audience.
Why is there a need a Content Syndication?
Dude, you are not the center of the world. How many times have you heard this, well I have many, many times, and this is why you need content syndication.
What do you think is the best way to get the word out there? Well you can ask all marketeers and sales folks (not oh come join our community) is WOM.
WOM: Word of Mouth:
Think of Content Syndication as the WOM of the digital world, so what happens when the word from your mouth gets spread and thrown around, you are now in the minds of every buyer that is out there.
The digital world has come down to such nuances where every digital asset is now being shared on different communication channel that helps you in turn to boos your revenue.
What are the mediums or communication channel that you can use?
Good question, it has now become crazy that every communication medium is now a content syndication channel.

And now How is Content Syndication Done?
PIM and eCommerce agencies handle the content syndication for API based channels without much issues.
However more than 80% of channels don't have APIs at all or not the matured APIs for content syndication and providing feedback.
